Original thriller in which the story is told by an unborn child still in the womb of his mother. Gabriela, a burn unit nurse, receives a pregnant woman in coma, burned in the entire body and supposedly the only surviving victim of a strange case of serial killings. With a decaying marriage the young nurse begins to receive letters from a secret admirer with whom turns out to be involved in a mysterious and dangerous extramarital relationship. Throughout the film, one question remains:who is the mother the baby is talking about?
First feature film from the young director Leonardo António in a genre unusual in the movies coming from Portugal. The film was selected for the new directors competition of the 2012 São Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil. Music by Rodrigo Leão, who also composed the soundtrack of this year's THE BUTLER.

O FRÁGIL SOM DO MEU MOTOR is een originele thriller waarin een ongeboren baby vanuit de baarmoeder van zijn moeder het verhaal vertelt. Gabriela werkt als verpleegkundige op een brandwondenafdeling wanneer daar een zwangere vrouw wordt binnengebracht. Deze ernstig verbrande vrouw verkeert in coma en lijkt de enige overlevende te zijn van een uitzonderlijk stel seriemoorden. Terwijl het met haar huwelijk steeds slechter gaat, ontvangt de jonge verpleegster brieven van een geheime bewonderaar. Samen met deze aanbidder raakt zij verwikkeld in een mysterieuze en gevaarlijke buitenechtelijk relatie. Gedurende de film blijft één vraag nadrukkelijk open: wie is nu eigenlijk die moeder waar de baby steeds over spreekt?
Binnen de context van de Portugese cinema behoort de eerste speelfilm van de jonge regisseur Leonardo António tot een ongebruikelijk genre. Wellicht is de film daarom in 2012 uitgekozen voor het São Paulo International Film Festival in Brazilië, in de categorie "nieuwe regisseurs". De muziek is van de hand van Rodrigo Leão die dit jaar ook de soundtrack voor THE BUTLER heeft gecomponeerd.

Com o casamento em declínio ajovem enfermeira começa a r eceber cartas de um admirador secreto com quem acaba por se envolver numa relação extraconjugal misteriosa e perigosa. Ao longo do filme uma questão permanece: quem é a mãe de que o bébé tanto fala?
Primeira longa metragem do jovem realizador Leonardo António num género não muito habitual no cinema vindo de Portugal. O Frágil Som do Meu Motor foi seleccionado em 2012 para a competição novos realizadores da Mostra Internacional de Cinema em São Paulo, Brasil. Música de Rodrigo Leão.

Con su matrimonio en declive, la enfermera comienza a recibir cartas de un admirador secreto, con el que acaba envuelta en una relación extramatrimonial misteriosa y peligrosa. A lo largo de este film se plantea una pregunta constante: ¿quién es la madre de la que tanto habla el bebé?
